  1. Consortium Meeting 1 (CM1), 19 – 20 March 2024

The first Consortium Meeting (CM1) kicked off on 19 March 2024, and was hosted by the NMIMS deemed to be University, India. The meeting was held over two days to discuss about the project deliverables, milestones, deadlines, and other important matters related to the OPEN ASIA project. The UM delegate was represented by Associate Professor Dr Liew Chee Sun who is currently the Head of Data Intensive Computing Centre (DICC), Universiti Malaya and one of the UM Open Science Steering Committee members.

  1. Open Science Forum 1 (OSF1) 21 – 22 March, 2024

The Open Science Forum was held in Mumbai India with a theme, “Unlocking Knowledge: Forum on Open Science”. The Forum was initiated by welcoming remarks from the host institution, keynote address, and followed by the inauguration of Open Asia project logo and Open Asia project website.  The event continued with the expert panel session, with the first one focused on the sharing on Open Science experience around the world by countries and followed by representatives from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) who are Partner Countries of this Open Asia project. The OSF1 was also enriched by sinteractive workshops from the experts on topics related to Open Source Software, and Open Access Publishing.
